On Thursday night, Kelsey and I went to the
Minnesota Orchestra. It was the kickoff to the three week long
Percussion Festival,
Crash! Bang! Boom! Before the show, there was a cacophony of noise coming from the lobby. Inside, some guy was directing a bunch of people with percussive instruments!

He was handing out various sticks, drums, and noisemakers to the crowd and getting them to play in rythym. It was pretty cool.

Sorry for the crappy cameraphone pics. It's all I had. The show itself was really good, with up to 5 percussionists and a timpanist on stage. I'm kind of bummed I won't be around to see Parts
II and
III.
