So I went to workout early this evening. Grab the iPod, ready to go. Hop on the treadmill, hit shuffle all music, and what should come on? None other than Mr Freedom Williams. Do you know how hard it is to run when all you can think about is a certain Simpsons episode? A gay steel mill? Comedy GENIUS! Anyways, after that, it's nothing but Metallica and Ministry when I run in the future. Sorry, no Pantera in my collection.
I've also found exactly what I need to survive in Guangzhou.
First is the Jelly Bellies. Thank you so much for sending them, Kelsey! I think I've eaten 1/2 a lb so far. I did find Jelly Bellies in Hong Kong, but they were almost $20/lb! Yeah, $5.99/lb at Rainbow. Second is the butter coconut biscut. The best cracker/cookie since the Nilla Wafer. And I LOVE Nilla Wafers. Easily the snack I will miss most once gone. Maybe I'll just bring a case back. Third, the Red Bull, but in a weird can. Lastly is the Pocari Sweat. Honestly, I haven't tried it yet. I'll get back to you on it.Random links you may want to check:

Finally, you all have to step up to the plate. I certainly don't get enough feedback on the site. The comments section is there for a reason people! Is this funny? Are the pictures good? Anything. No feedback leads to me getting bored typing for no one, leads to no updates. That, and I'm really bored and need something to read.
now playing: Metallica - Harvester of Sorrow
Update: The Pocari Sweat is actually not bad. In fact, it's pretty good. The flavor is very mild. Almost like the juice from a watermelon. I think this is due to it's fine osmolality.
And I'm getting all the Cations and Anions I need! Maybe Chad can do the equilibrium equations for whatever they put in this stuff. Looks like mostly salt to me.
now playing: Nine Inch Nails - I Do Not Want This

I wanted to be George Washington but unfortunately I was "The Flash".
Hey, Aaron, bring a case of Pocari Sweat home for me!! You know waht a salt lover I am.
Do you just eat whatever yu grab one at a time or do you combine flavors like beanut butter + jelly + white bread (do they have a white bread jelly belly?)
Wouldn't it be more fun to run around the city? You'd look like Rocky training in Russa, but in China.
I can't find the Pocari Sweat by the case, only the can. As for the jelly bellies, yes, I grab a few and toss em in. It's more fun that way. And no, I don't want to run around the city, the air pollution would kill me if the taxi drivers didnt.
Is Pocari Sweat the only type of sweat available? Or are there multiple sweat varieties and you just prefer Pocari?
Also, congrats on the upcoming move to Hong Kong. Good stuff. Do you still think there's any chance you might make it down to Darwin? Nicole and I did some research and found out flights down here are pricier than we told you. D'oh! Anyways, we'll most likely be in Darwin in mid-August. It'd be cool if you could swing that!

I loved the Hong Kong photos!
I like to read of your exploits and boredom while I'm bored at work. At least you get to be bored in an exotic location!
-still not yelling at people on ladders.....
Hello dear. I just booked my ticket to come visit!!! I got a new position at work - working no weekends through December can you believe it??? Anyway, my vacation days had to change a bit because of it... here's hoping they'll still work for you! I'm flying into Hong Kong on Tuesday Oct 17th at 4:50pm. Leaving Sat Oct 28th at 12:45pm. I do want to fly to Beijing during that time, but will wait to buy a ticket until I here from you on when you'll be most free and what sites you want to join me seeing. Can't wait to get out there! Take care!

That George Washington video made me pee myself a little.
